Job Summary:
1. Job Duties and Scope:
- Plan and implement the migration of DB2 databases to a newer version.
- Upgrade DB2 databases during OS migration from AIX to Linux/RHEL7.
- Analyze compatibility of current database environment with target version.
- Develop and execute upgrade strategies, including testing and fallback procedures.
- Perform database monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting before and after upgrades.
- Collaborate with developers and administrators for optimal performance.
2. Required Skills:
- Proficiency in DB2 UDB LUV (Distributed) and DB2 9.7 DBA for Linux, UNIX, and Windows.
- Strong troubleshooting and optimization skills.
- Experience with database backup and recovery procedures.
3. Required Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in database upgrade, maintenance, and support.
