Job Summary:
Job Duties and Scopes
- Conduct experiments and analyze data on 3D machine vision robotic systems.
- Program and maintain robots, including arms and mobile robots.
- Operate and maintain measurement equipment.
- Record and analyze test data; prepare test reports.
- Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of lab equipment.
- Collaborate with the NIST/GU PREP team.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in gauge blocks, micrometers, and geometric dimensioning.
- Experience with CAD software (e.g., Solidworks).
- Programming experience with robots (teach pendants, command line).
- Competence in Matlab, Python, and Excel for data analysis.
- Familiarity with 3D printers and basic hand/power tools.
Required Experiences
- Experience in robotics programming and operational safety in a lab.
- Familiarity with CAD design and data analysis software.
- Preferred experience with ROS and simulation software.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in physical sciences, engineering, or related field.
